Equivocal in KATALOG Journal of Photography and Video






Photographs from my Equivocal series are featured in the new issue of KATALOG – Journal of Photography and Video published by Museet for Fotokunst, Odense. Editor-in-chief is Jens Friis curator of exhibitions at the Museum as well as co-director of the festival FotoTriennale.dk.

The current issue also includes work from several members of FÍSL and an article titled On the slow progress of the Photographic Arts in Iceland written by Jon Proppe curator and art critic.

SKIA-Shadow




Skia - Shadow curated by Gudni Tómasson opend on August 31 at Hafnarborg, The Hafnarfjordur Centre
of Culture and Fine Art. The artists participating in the exhibition are Elías B. Halldórsson, Gabríela Friðriksdóttir, Haraldur Jónsson, Helgi Þorgils Friðjónsson, Hringur Jóhannesson, Jóhann Briem, Katrín Elvarsdóttir, Kristján Guðmundsson, Magnús Pálsson, Ragnar Kjartansson, Ralph Hannam, Sigurður Árni Sigurðsson, Snorri Arinbjarnar and Þorvaldur Skúlason.  
I will participate in a guided tour of the exhibition SKIA - shadow on September 30th. The exhibition explores the different manifestations of shadow in the works of several Icelandic artists.
